We’re excited to announce that the Madriella Doula Network now offers payments through Klarna!
We’ve always provided a traditional monthly payment plan to make training accessible. However, with that option, students must complete all scheduled payments (usually about 6 months) before their certificate is released.
💡 Here’s what Klarna changes:

✔️ Complete your coursework at your own pace
✔️ Receive your certification within 24 hours of course completion — no waiting for months of payments to process
This new option is ideal for students who are ready to move forward now, begin working sooner, or need proof of certification for employment, Medicaid enrollment, or professional requirements.
As always, our goal is to remove barriers to training so that as many women as possible can learn birth support skills.
How to Use Klarna at Madriella
Using Klarna to pay for your Madriella membership is simple. Just follow the steps below:
Step 1: Choose Your Membership
Visit the Madriella website and select the Basic Membership or Professional Membership, depending on your goals.
Step 2: Complete Your Enrollment Information
Fill out your name, email address, and any required account details. (This creates your student account and ensures your courses are ready once payment is complete.)
Step 3: Select Klarna at Checkout
When you reach the payment page, you will see Klarna listed as a payment option.
Choose Klarna to view their available payment plans.
Step 4: Finish Checkout
Follow Klarna’s on-screen instructions to complete your payment setup.
Once approved, your enrollment will be processed immediately.
Step 5: Complete Your Courses & Receive Certification
After you finish your required courses, your certificate will be issued within 24 hours, even if you are still making Klarna payments.
Important Note:
Klarna is a third-party payment provider. Payment terms, approval, and schedules are determined by Klarna.
DO NOT try to use it with the Monthly payment option-that will result in both the website and Klarna billing you each month! You have to select the Basic Membership ($150) or the Professional Membership ($300).
