Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is a way of presenting services that recognizes the statistical probability that the individual receiving the service may have a history of trauma.

The Trauma-Informed Doula has been trained to recognize the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individual’s life- including her birth experience.
