Madriella Birth Doula Certification

This is our primary non-medical birth assistant course. It is designed to teach women how to provide comfort and support measures to other women during pregnancy and childbirth. This course covers the five facets of Doula support, birth physiology, physical and emotional comfort measures, birth planning and preparation and standards of practice.

Madriella Postpartum Doula Certification

Madriella Postpartum Doulas provide help and support to the mother in the first weeks after the birth. This course is intended to be a follow-up to our primary non-medical birth assistant course. This course covers the physical and emotional needs of the mother after the birth and how the five facets of support can be tailored to meet these specific needs. This course has a prerequisite: The Madriella Birth Doula Certification course must be completed before this course can be taken.

Madriella Professional Development Course

For those Doulas that charge for their services and make a living that incorporates their passion for helping others, we offer this professional development continuing education course. This course is designed to help you expand your knowledge and covers a wide range of topics relevant to the birth industry, such as Doula business licensing, marketing strategies, business networking, and social media presence. This course is reserved for our Professional Members Prerequisites: Madriella Birth Doula course, Madriella Postpartum Doula course.

Massage for the Laboring Woman

This course covers the fundamental basics of prenatal massage and the physiological changes of pregnancy. It also covers the contraindications of prenatal massage and comfort and support measures that can be employed during labor to relieve the discomfort of the mother.
